3-Day Luxury Iguazu Falls Tour

Brazil
2 Nights·3 Days

Overview

Embark on a luxury Iguazu Falls tour where nature takes center stage. Elevating this experience is the iconic Belmond Hotel das Cataratas, an exquisite retreat that boasts unparalleled high-end facilities, holding the exclusive distinction of being the only hotel located entirely within the boundaries of the Iguaçu National Park on the Brazilian side, which offers guests private, crowd-free access to the falls at dawn and dusk.

Beyond the elegant suites and world-class dining, the true magic of this destination lies in its immersive outdoor experiences. A variety of curated activities allow travelers to forge a deep connection with the falls and the vibrant Atlantic Forest that envelops the property. Guests can embark on guided nature walks through the lush jungle to spot animals, take thrilling boat rides that venture right up to the cascading waters, or enjoy tranquil twilight strolls as the forest comes alive.

After a day of exploring the rainforest and marveling at the panoramic views of Iguazu Falls, guests can retreat to the hotel’s luxurious sanctuary. Whether unwinding by the swimming pool surrounded by orchids or sipping caipirinhas on the terrace as the sun sets over the falls, the experience is nothing short of extraordinary.

  • Day at leisurespa, pool, gardens

With the falls quiet by day, the rest of the daytime is yours: the spa, the pool, the gardens, or another unhurried walk on the Cataratas Trail. The day builds toward the evening’s headline experience.

After dark, set out on the “Night of the Falls: Full Moon,” a moonlit walk along the footbridges of the falls to witness one of nature’s rarest spectacles, the lunar rainbow. Created by moonlight refracting through the mist, this ethereal phenomenon appears only under perfect conditions, which makes it a genuinely once-in-a-lifetime sight. This is an exclusive, seasonal experience available only to Belmond Hotel das Cataratas guests, lasting about 1h30 between 7:30 PM and 10:30 PM.

Please notice: “The Night of the Falls: Full Moon” depends on the lunar calendar and runs only on full-moon nights in suitable weather. Confirm the available dates and whether the experience is viable for your stay when you book.

FAQ

Reviews

“This is an extraordinary hotel. Its also an extraordinary price, but well worth it. The little touches like the complimentary sparkling wine at sunset out of the iconic pink camper van was a lovely gesture. The rooms are beautifully furnished, the beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are gorgeous. The staff are friendly, informal and approachable. Loved the bar. Breakfast was sumptuous in terms of range and quality. The swimming pool area and gym are both great. Perhaps the most important thing to note is the exclusive access you get to the falls before and after the park opens and closes. It means you get the place to yourselves for at least an hour or two at the beginning and end of each day. We set off just after sunrise for a guided tour of the falls (again, a complimentary part of the hotel's offer) and it was magical. When you see the scale of the crowds that build during the day, you can see why the hotel is worth the money just for this aspect alone.”

“Our stay was simply majestic. From the first minute you notice the excellence in the detail, but what touched my heart the most was the care and the very special attention they had for my little daughter. The level of friendliness and warmth from all the hotel staff made us feel at home. The small gestures like the water, the chocolates in the room and, above all, the picnic in front of the falls, will remain engraved forever in my daughter's memory. A huge round of applause for the guys in the entertainment area; the way they treat the children is extraordinary. Having the luxury of enjoying the falls practically to ourselves before the park opens is priceless. An adorable detail: seeing the coati families walking through the hotel gardens in the morning. We had an incredible guide who spoke English, Spanish, and Portuguese perfectly.”

“I always look for nice hotels with the best possible location. But this hotel is the BEST!! Every detail is taken care of. Absolutely all of the staff was friendly and the facilities are perfect. The rooms are clean and very well maintained. The decoration of the public areas is elegant and understated. The food is delicious in both restaurants, dinner at the "Y" restaurant was superb. We took the nighttime tour of the waterfalls by moonlight and it was magical. The hotel organized the transfers and they were perfect. Being inside the park allows you to visit the waterfalls early and without crowds. And to see the sunset from the garden, the tower, your room, or along the trails. If you are going to the waterfalls, this is definitely the best place to stay.”

“A fabulous hotel that leaves nothing to be desired. Everything worked smoothly from arrival (transfer from IGU airport via hotel) to on-site service and departure. The staff speak good English throughout, are very friendly and helpful and always approachable. We visited Parque das Aves with the free hotel shuttle, which takes you to the entrance of the national park every 25 minutes. Breakfast left nothing to be desired, dinner was varied and very good and the bar was also excellent. The concierge team, which is responsible for excursions and drivers, offers helpful tips in addition to the actual bookings. Due to its unique location, you can be at the falls in front of the other tourists, but you can also see toucans, parrots and nose bears on the hotel grounds. The free offer to enjoy the sunset with a glass of sparkling wine was also fun. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and can only recommend.”

— Daniela

“Visit this hotel for work without staying there, but I can say that it is a luxury, both the location (have the falls at the exit of the hotel and with view from some rooms), and the design, facilities, details in the rooms!! In addition to the lodging itself, being there gives you more time and possibility to visit the falls earlier without long lines, hire sunrise experiences at the falls... Definitely recommended!!”

— Fernanda

“This hotel is definitely 5* if not more, perfect location to watch the falls and the staff were so welcoming and couldn't do enough for their guests. We totally enjoyed watching sunset over the falls each evening from the hotel grounds with free glass of champagne each evening and our early morning walks to the falls before the general public was allowed to enter the grounds. We also booked a trip to Argentina side falls from the hotel and had a nice guide with his car, who was very friendly and knowledgeable. It was an amazing experience.”

— Katarina S

“Everything about this hotel and stay in it was excellent. To start with the location is perfect - in the National Park with access to the falls after the park closes to the general public. It is a beautiful hotel which is furnished in a colonial style. Spotlessly clean. All the staff are friendly and helpful and make you feel a valued customer. Food in the Ipe restaurant is excellent for both breakfast and evenings. Our stay in this hotel made our visit to the Iguazu Falls even more special.”

— Carolina A

“Despite its size, this hotel remains quiet, with a feeling of not being overrun by the crowd. The welcome is very attentive. We were upgraded with a large and beautiful room. Breakfast is varied. The pool is very nice and the service very nice. We had lunch twice by the pool and the choice was varied. We dined at the restaurant Y. Very nice cuisine, masterful realization of dishes and very nicely presented. We had a wine tasting experience. Interesting to discover local wines. Thank you to Cleverson who is not a sommelier but who is passionate and who made this presentation. Access to the falls on the Brazilian side is ideal because in front of the hotel. Going early to avoid the crowds and the heat. Access is reserved for guests before opening to tourists around 9am. Do not miss the sunset with a glass of white wine offered by the hotel. A very good time!”

“Luxury and attention to every detail. Special emphasis is placed on access to the Cataratas trail before the park opens and after closing to the public and enjoying the sunset at the bar or, more exclusively, at the tower. The hotel has an exemplary concern with sustainability: glass bottles with water to drink, near the beds, the water served in the fridge bar is of can, the drinks straws in the pool are of bamboo. Great try to eliminate plastic. The hotel offers slippers, but for the trails I recommend bringing your hat and a light backpack to bring water or snacks.”

— Adriana Baier

“Unforgettable experience at the hotel. Everything was perfect. Douglas gave my husband and I a warm welcome to the hotel upon our arrival. He took the time to show us the property and our room. All staff at the hotel are wonderful. Edos (concierge) helped with arranging ride to Macuco tour for us, which is an absolutely fantastic way to visit the falls. Staff at Ipe restaurant provided great service. We were able to enjoy sunset and view the falls with minimal amount of people after the park closed. We highly recommend !”
