Day 1
You land at Foz do Iguaçu, and a private vehicle takes you to your accommodation. The rest of the day is yours: settle in, rest, and get ready for the two full days ahead.
Day 2
Cross the border to walk the Argentine falls circuit. This is the immersion day inside Iguazú National Park, on an extensive network of trails and walkways built to put you level with the water. The Upper Circuit runs 1,850 meters one way and the Lower Circuit 1,750 meters with stairways, which puts the day at roughly 5.8 km on foot.
With the guide by your side, see the falls from a long series of angles. The 1,100-meter walkway out to the Devil’s Throat, with no stairs, is the one people come for—it’s the largest single fall in the complex, where you stand directly over the curtain of water.
Day 3
The last day starts before dawn. Sunrise at the Falls gets you onto the Brazilian side of the park before it opens to the public, so the first light hits the cascades while the place is still quiet. Breakfast is served inside the National Park.
The Macuco Safari follows and combines three parts: a ride through the subtropical forest in an electric vehicle, a short forest trail, and a high-powered boat ride that takes you as close to the base of the falls as the river allows. Expect to get soaked on that last part.
You then have a few hours to clean up and rest before it’s time to return to the airport, marking the end of your Iguazu Falls private tour.
