Patagonia Camp: 4 Nights in Luxury Yurts by Torres del Paine

Chile
4 Nights·5 Days

Overview

Situated on private grounds along the forested shores of Lake Toro, in Chile, Patagonia Camp features sweeping views across the water to the Paine Massif. The property sits only 15 km (about 25 minutes) from the Serrano entrance of Torres del Paine National Park. This quiet base, away from the busier sectors of the park, provides a seamless starting point for your 5-day journey.

On Day 1, you sit down with the excursion team to tailor your day-by-day itinerary considering your interests, fitness, and the weather. The catalog ranges from gentle forest-bathing walks and scenic overland tours of the park’s viewpoints to the demanding Base of the Towers trek. Outings also include guided morning kayaking across calm waters and short walks to the El Toro waterfall.

Drawing inspiration from Mongolian nomad structures, the lodge’s circular yurt rooms feature bright, insulated fabrics to capture heat and natural light. Each unit is equipped with central heating, an ensuite bathroom with a rain shower, and a private terrace facing the landscape, pairing comfortable amenities with the quiet of the shoreline for an all-inclusive stay.

  • Full itinerary: a self-guided forest-bathing walk, a full-day hike to the Paine viewpoints, a day in Torres del Paine (Base of the Towers or a scenic overland tour), a morning kayak on Lake Toro, and a last walk to the El Toro waterfall.
  • A full day in Torres del Paine National Park: the demanding Base of the Towers trek, or an easy overland tour of the park’s viewpoints for those who prefer less walking.
  • Kayaking on glacier-fed Lake Toro, the largest lake in the region, with the Paine Massif mirrored on the water.
  • A stay in a heated luxury yurt on raised decks over the forest, with a private terrace facing Lake Toro and the Paine Massif.
  • Activities guided by bilingual local guides (English and Spanish), Wilderness First Responder certified, in small groups.

“Quite simply this is the finest place we have ever stayed. The staff are exceptional. The accommodation is fantastic. The food is phenomenal. The views are amazing. Everything is superb. A wonderful experience. And, just to say again, the quality of staff is exceptional. Friendly. Efficient. Full of information. Enthusiastic. Ever helpful. All are brilliant.”

“We went on our honeymoon and had an incredible stay. The place where the camp is located is a wonder, sleeping in yurts is a unique experience, the food was delicious and the excursions were very entertaining. But, without a doubt, what we take away most from this experience are the people. Everyone was incredibly kind, always with an excellent attitude and a genuine concern for making us feel good and enjoy every moment. An unforgettable experience and a place we would love to return to!”

— Camila Flano

“Patagonia Camp is a DREAM hotel. From the moment they receive you at the transfer until you leave on the last day, they look after you, caring about every detail and about you being content and happy in Patagonia. The atmosphere in the hotel is very pleasant, and the way everyone treats each other is so good that they convey a lot of happiness to the guests. Every day spent at the hotel is a new surprise, the menu and the cocktails get better each time, and the care of the yurts also reflects the quality of the hotel. You won't regret going. Now I have Patagonia Camp depression! I hope to come back soon. PS: the best were the brownies as a snack!”

— Pía S

“What an extraordinary resort in an extraordinary location. Customer service (from everyone) was A+. The camp facilities are beautiful and the yurts are so warm and comfortable. (Probably the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in in). Food and drink quality is excellent, and the cocktail selection incredible. And as for the experience, knowledge, and joy from the hiking guides - I could not fault them. The organisation of the hiking in the national park is brilliant … briefings, transfers, lunch stops, hospitality - everything is taken care of with pleasure. The views, mountains, lakes, wildlife - it’s all just as you expect from pictures that you’ve seen …. But way better.”

— Jeremy R

“An incredible experience in a wonderful setting like Chilean Patagonia, but above all, I want to highlight the staff. The bartenders are masters of mixology, the kitchen offers a complete gastronomic proposal, the guides are professional and experienced, and the service team is extremely attentive and very kind. Together they deliver impeccable attention. Very grateful to the entire Patagonia Camp team for making this trip something unforgettable."”

— Juan B

“This boutique hotel delivered beyond expectations. Luxury yurts nestled in the terrain outside Torrres Del Paine National Park were nicely appointed. The views stunning. The food excellent and surprisingly creative featuring classic beef and lamb and all manner of seafood. The staff were the jewels of the experience. Professional, courteous, friendly, engaging and genuinely interested in guests having a lovely experience. From our arrival to departure we were well cared for. A special recommendation for excellence to Rosia, a member of the reception team and to the incredible duo of Anto and Ramiro who guided our hikes and drove us across incredible terrain. Anto made our hikes sing! We would love to return.”

— Lisa

“Marvelous. From the beginning they welcome you with a unique kindness, the place is truly magical and connects you with nature, their culinary preparations are of the highest level, highlighting local flavors and products, first-class service. Now I understand why it is among the best hotels in the world.”

— Alejandro Callis Giragossian

“Patagonia Camp is a remarkable combination of rustic, elegant, authentic, cozy, modern, athletic, relaxing, and remote! The people we met there both our Guides, the staff at Patagonia camp, and the other guests were remarkable and fascinating people. We challenged ourselves to a couple of longer than usual hikes – we did French Valley while at Patagonia camp - and then a couple of more mellow hike with other guests who we had befriended. We wish we had more nights there! The stars were remarkable, the yurt was unbelievably cozy, well anppointed and peaceful, the food delicious, and the staff and service absolutely first rate. I highly recommend! ( But don’t tell everyone- it’s too special!:)”

— Johanna L

“We had the most wonderful stay at Patagonia Camp. From the time we arrived until the time we left the experience was outstanding. All the staff are super friendly, efficient and dedicated to giving excellent customer service. They frequently went the extra mile to deliver this with nothing being too much trouble. The yurts are comfortable and have fabulous views of the lake and the food was top notch quality and beautifully presented. Excursions were well organised and personal and the scenery in the Torres del Paine Park is stunning. This is a very special place and was one of the highlights of our trip to Chile. The only thing that would have been a minor improvement would have been to have WiFi in the yurts and not have to go up to the lobby area to use the WiFi.”

— Isobel

“A different and unforgettable experience, a true luxury camping where you can connect with nature without giving up comfort. The domes are cozy, unique and have views that leave you speechless, the excursions are entertaining and designed for everyone, and best of all… the people on the team who make every moment special :)”
