The Amazon Premium Lodge offers a 4-day jungle experience located by Lake Tracajá, in the heart of the planet's largest rainforest. To guarantee exclusivity, the lodge’s facilities feature private, climate-controlled bungalows, each equipped with modern amenities, as well as a spacious, private furnished balcony with hammocks and loungers that overlook the lush jungle and lake.

Itinerary

Day 1

Manaus / Fish Market / Meeting of Waters / Lake Tracajá

The day starts at 8 AM with a 20-minute car transfer from Manaus to the Ceasa river port. From there, a 30-minute speedboat ride reaches Careiro da Várzea, passing the Meeting of Waters, where the Negro and Solimões rivers run side by side without mixing.

After a short stop at the local fruit market, the trip continues by bus or van for about 40 minutes along the BR-319 highway, past the Araçá River. Then, board another boat for the final ~50-minute leg through lakes, narrow channels, floating houses, native villages, and stretches of Amazon water lilies. You should arrive at the Amazon Premium Lodge around noon for lunch.

In the afternoon, a motorized boat trip on Lake Tracajá looks for spider monkeys, sloths, iguanas, and herons, followed by a delicious dinner.

Day 2

Sunrise Birdwatching / Jungle Hike / Piranha Fishing / Night Safari

Set off at 5:30 AM to watch the rainforest wake up (great for birdwatchers). After breakfast, a jungle hike covers survival techniques, medicinal plants, and the forest’s biodiversity.

The afternoon is for piranha fishing on the calm waters near the Amazon ecolodge. After dark, an 8 PM night safari by boat and on foot picks out caimans, owls, sloths, and other nocturnal wildlife.

Day 3

Caboclo Community / Swimming & Canoeing on Lake Tracajá

In the morning, visit caboclo houses to see the daily life, rubber and cassava plantations, and how the forest provides fruit, herbs, and Brazil nuts for locals. Wonderful chance for sharing food and stories with the families who live here!

After lunch, swim and canoe on Lake Tracajá right outside the lodge, with more chances to spot wildlife along the shoreline before the light softens in the late afternoon.

Day 4

Last Amazon Views / Return to Manaus

Enjoy a final breakfast and the river scenery before the return to Manaus, about 3.5 hours by boat and road (in the morning or afternoon depending on your flight). You should arrive at around 1 PM.

“Disappointed with the support and follow-up Very little follow-up throughout the trip. Right at the start some things failed and we reported them, but we never had any contact again during the remaining days to find out whether the experience was going well. The lodge is reasonable, but the food was not very good. The positive point was that they used the leftovers for new dishes. But they only had water, there wasn't even sparkling water. The juices all had to be paid for separately, which makes no sense. There should be more than one drink option included in the price, which is not low. Some meals were of poor quality. Little variety in the food. However, the staff were very friendly. The most negative point of the trip was the guide assigned to us. He was not proactive, it seemed like he was the one on vacation. We had contact with another guide who had a completely different attitude, explaining everything, taking an interest, helping. Our guide, besides the communication difficulty for physical reasons (hearing), spoke very little, was not enthusiastic and even said things like "if I say it now, tomorrow I'll have nothing to say". The native guide was much friendlier and knew much more about everything. Our guide Marcelo was really not very careful, did not help with transport and was only concerned with his own well-being. When the transport failed he didn't even provide a water, saying it was not his concern. We were very disappointed with the support. We also didn't do everything that was in the program. In other words, they sell more than they deliver and they neither explain nor give any justification. Overall, the experience was good above all because the Amazon is very beautiful, but for what we paid the service should have been of much higher quality in every respect.”

“Overall the experience was… Overall the experience was incredible, the place was very beautiful and very comfortable, the native guide was wonderful, very helpful and very careful with the group, showing us wonderful things about the territory, and the activities were also very interesting. The lodge team was also very friendly and helpful! The Planet Exo team, especially Elisama, was also very helpful and was excellent support in the process of purchasing the experience. The only thing I considered less good was the performance of the other guide who accompanied us from manaus, because he was not very communicative or proactive, which was complicated especially at the beginning of the trip because he didn't give us the information we needed to understand the stages of the trip, he showed that he didn't know well what was planned in the program and was not as helpful. Things with him ended up improving and he turned out to be a nice and welcoming person, but always very unproactive, which fortunately was compensated by the excellent support of the native guide.”
